Aetech, leading the future of the circular economy, received the Minister of Science and ICT award at the ‘2025 ICT Fund Next Awards’ hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the Korea Communication Agency (KCA).

Aetech has been enhancing waste sorting technology by integrating AI and robotics through the ICT fund support project. This award recognizes the technological achievements and contributions to the digital transformation of the circular economy.

At the event, a total of four companies, including Aetech, participated in the performance presentation. Aetech's CSO, Jaeho Ryu, spoke as a presenter, addressing the limitations of the domestic and international waste and recycling industry and shared strategies for building unmanned resource sorting centers to overcome them.

Aetech is realizing automation of the entire waste management process through its AI-based waste sorting robot ‘Atron’, the automated resource circulation platform ‘Airo-mrf’, and the integrated smart unit for waste sorting ‘Multi-tron’. To date, more than 20 Atron units have been installed and are in operation at private and public sorting facilities in the country.

A representative from Aetech stated, “This award is particularly significant as it contributes to creating social value through technological innovation” and added, “We will continue to accelerate technology development and global expansion to foster a sustainable resource circulation ecosystem.”
