A waste resource sorting robot company, Aetech, announced on the 6th that it has won the 'CES 2026 Innovation Award' with the mobile artificial intelligence (AI) resource recycling solution 'Multi-tron'.

The CES Innovation Award is a prestigious global award selected by comprehensively evaluating the innovation, engineering completeness, design, and social impact of the product.

Multi-tron won the CES Innovation Award in the Smart Community category. The Smart Community category is an award given to technologies that realize sustainable cities and communities.

Multi-tron is an AI-based mobile resource recycling system that can immediately sort and collect waste generated in urban living spaces such as multi-facilities, residential complexes, theaters, and stadiums.

The core of Multi-tron's 'Dump and Go' structure is that the AI vision system inside automatically recognizes waste as users simply throw it in, and the robot separates and sorts it in real-time.

Aetech was recognized for its innovation by presenting a new paradigm of urban resource recycling infrastructure combining AI and robotics through this award.

Especially, Aetech explained that "Multi-tron received high evaluation scores from the judging panel for showing outstanding innovation in terms of design and engineering."

Tae-hyung Park, the CEO of Aetech, said, "We will focus on developing technology to accelerate the circular economy and enhance the environmental efficiency of cities based on AI and robotics technology."

Meanwhile, Aetech will showcase products such as the AI waste sorting robot 'Atron', mobile resource recycling solution 'Multi-tron', and AI-based automated waste sorting facility 'Airo-mrf' at the CES 2026 Incheon-IFEZ Joint Pavilion.
