SK Eco Plant holds award ceremony for technology contest targeting semiconductor and AI startups... "7 companies awarded"
SK Ecoplant is continuing its open innovation activities with innovative companies in the semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) fields.
SK Ecoplant announced that it held the 'Tech Open Collaboration' awards ceremony on the 4th at the Grand Walkerhill Seoul in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
The Tech Open Collaboration, now in its 5th year, is an innovation technology contest for startups organized and conducted by SK Ecoplant. It discovers and awards startups with innovative technologies in the semiconductor and AI fields, supporting business growth and securing competitiveness.
The operation of the contest involves participation from the Korea Startup Promotion Agency, the Korea Research and Development Foundation, the Korea International Trade Association, the Korea Electronics Technology Institute, KAIST, Hoseo University, Hannam University, SK Securities, and the Korea Science and Technology Holdings. They will also participate in joint research and development with the award-winning companies.
At this award ceremony, 7 startups (Enhaitech, Quantumcat, Mobilio, LK Robotics, Aetech, Binding, and Inkull) were selected as the final award-winning companies.
The awarded companies will receive various support for strengthening their technology competitiveness and growth. They will conduct joint research and development with SK Ecoplant and its affiliated companies, and after technology advancement, they plan to collaborate in commercialization and other areas. They will also receive government funding and investment attraction from public, research, and investment institutions participating together.
Kim Hyung-geun, CEO of SK Ecoplant, stated, “We expect synergies from open innovation with the startups discovered through this contest,” and added, “We will continue to work on building a sustainable industrial ecosystem with startups and small and medium enterprises.”
