Earth sends an SOS... Eco-friendly robots restore the lifeline of the Earth
Innovation through Technology ‘ON’, Witness Vivid Changes [TECH On and Off]
Technology changes the world. But real change occurs not in numbers, but among people and on-site. [TECH On and Off] is a use-case based storytelling series that illuminates the ‘before’ and ‘after’ of technology being applied in industrial fields in a multi-dimensional way. It captures the concerns and limitations prior to the introduction of technology, the process of implementation, and the amazing achievements afterward, showcasing the vivid stories from the field. It shows how technology changes experiences and grows businesses. We have embedded this value in TECH On and Off.

ON: The Ecosystem Meeting Robot Technology, New Possibilities ‘Open’ for a Green Earth
Robots are being deployed at the forefront of solving environmental issues, changing the landscape. Various forms of robots are operating in polluted sites, where human capabilities and technological limitations have stagnated. Advanced environmental robots equipped with functions such as AI-based precise analysis, autonomous driving-based mobility, and special sensor-utilized pollution source detection are opening new possibilities. These robots are positioning themselves as key players in restoring and protecting the Earth's ecosystem.
For example, waste sorting robots minimize human intervention while maximizing efficiency and accuracy. The domestic startup ‘Aetech (AI+8 Technology)’ has an AI-based waste sorting robot named ‘Atron’.
This device analyzes the waste moving along the conveyor belt using AI vision technology, and based on this result, a Delta Robot sorts them accurately by type. It is assessed to not only increase recycling rates but also ensure worker safety from toxic substances and reduce labor dependence, contributing to labor cost savings. In fact, it has been proven effective through a demonstration test at a local government waste treatment plant.
