Aetech, Next Rise 2025 'Next Innovator' Award... "Leading industrial innovation with automatic waste sorting technology.”
AETECH, led by CEO Park Tae-hyung, won the Next Innovator Award at ‘NextRise 2025’ co-hosted by the Industrial Bank of Korea and the Korea International Trade Association. This recognition is a result of its innovative automated waste sorting technology, which combines technological and market potential.
The NextRise Next Innovator Award is given to promising domestic and foreign startups that lead future industries, based on criteria such as technological capability, business potential, and social impact.
Through this award, AETECH presented technical solutions that address the inefficiencies and high-cost structures in the existing waste treatment industry with ▲ AI-based automated waste sorting robot ‘atron’, ▲ robot-based waste automation facility ‘airo-mrf’, and ▲ public multi-use facility specialized solution ‘multi-tron’. Notably, AETECH emphasized improving sorting efficiency and resource recovery rates based on AI and robotics technology, contributing to this award win.
AETECH stated, “Resource circulation is essential in the era of climate crisis, and we are a company that presents solutions through technology,” and added, “We will take this award as an opportunity to leap forward as an industrial technology leader driving innovation in the circular economy in the global market.”
Additionally, AETECH participated in the NextRise 2025 exhibition held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, from the 26th to the 27th, showcasing its waste sorting solutions and technologies at the award-winning company booth in Hall B.
Meanwhile, AETECH has commercialized over 20 atrons in domestic public and private sorting facilities and is currently building its first airo-mrf site, covering 500 pyeong in Gyungseo-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon. The company is also actively working on partnerships and certifications for entering overseas markets, such as Singapore and Vietnam.
